Frequently asked questions
What is Crew Film UK?
A members' app for people who work behind the camera in UK film and TV: rates and agreements, studio guides, hire houses, jobs, crew tools such as invoices, timesheets and an overtime calculator, training, and department forums.
How much does it cost?
5 days free, then £4.99 a month. You add a card on Stripe's secure checkout when you sign up; you are not charged during the trial.
How do I cancel?
Open Account in the app and choose Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can cancel at any time. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
Is it an app I download?
It's a web app (PWA). Open crewfilmuk.co.uk on your phone and use “Add to Home Screen” to install it like an app on iOS or Android.
Can I change my department?
No. You choose one department when you join and it is permanent for department chats and forums. General forums are open to every member.
Where does the information come from?
Rates, agreements, studio and supplier details are compiled from official and public sources, with links where we have them. Always check with the organisation before relying on anything. If something is wrong, email [email protected].
Who can see my posts?
Forum posts, jobs, marketplace listings and Showcase films are visible to signed-in members only. Invoices you save are private to your account.
Can I share my own films?
Yes — members can add YouTube or Vimeo links to Showcase. Only post work you have the rights to share.
How do I report something?
Use the Report button on a listing, review or film, or email [email protected]. Reports are reviewed by the Crew Film UK team.
