Who we are

Mobmodz Limited, trading as Crew Film UK (crewfilmuk.co.uk), is the data controller for the personal data described here. Company no. 11328121. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

Account: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), username, department, and optionally a profile photo and public IMDb page link.
Membership: subscription status and trial dates. Card details are collected and held by Stripe — we never see your full card number.
Content you create: forum and chat messages, jobs, reviews, marketplace listings and photos, Showcase films and likes, saved invoices and other tools data, reports and suggestions.
Device: push-notification subscriptions if you turn notifications on, and basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser) kept by our hosting providers for security.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

To provide your account and the service you signed up for (contract); to take payment (contract); to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and moderate reports (legitimate interests); and to send notifications you have switched on (consent, which you can withdraw in your device or browser settings).

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run Crew Film UK: Supabase (database, login and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Stripe (payments and billing) and your browser's push service for notifications. If you press play on a trailer or film, the video loads from YouTube or Vimeo, which then receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. We do not sell your data or use advertising trackers. Other members see your username and what you post.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records kept by Stripe).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
