Storeman

Runs the prop store(s): inventory, transport paperwork, dispatch to sets and returns — UK Props grade; confirm title on the call sheet and deal memo.

Duties

• Read the call sheet and sides before arriving
• Maintain radio/set etiquette and H&S
• Hand over notes/kit status at wrap
• Organise and inventory prop store(s)
• Arrange pickup/drop-off of hires and purchases
• Dispatch correct props to stages/locations
• Manage store budget lines set by Prop Master
• Strike returns and hire paperwork at wrap

Prop Master / Assistant Prop Master

All props crew, Transport, Locations for access

Dresser / store assistant → Storeman

Day to day

Receive hires; label locations; pull lists for dressers/standby; book transport; reconcile returns at wrap.

Call times

Dressing props frequently pre-call for dress/strike; standby props match unit call and wrap with camera. Store and run days before first shoot can be long — check standby vs dressing call.

What to wear

Workwear/blacks; steel toe-caps; high-vis for loading as required.

Tools & kit

Inventory system, labels, pallet truck access, van coordination.
